Greetings My Dear Readers,

 

 

Your Cold Hearted Bastard is now buried in more snow then I have seen in a decade.  This Land of Not is truly a frozen hell on earth.  However, it’s not all bad as this blast of ice and snow has given me an opportunity to experiment and play with new toys.  Toys that will effectively ensure the safety, mobility and survival of yours truly during these harshest and most inhospitable winter months.

 

 

Central Command Centre Finally Operational

 

I come to you today from your Cold Hearted Bastard’s newly established Central Command Centre here in my Wintery Waste Land.  This new Command Centre was envisioned long ago and has now at last seen fruition.  This is but one of many projects that have been sitting on your CHB’s back burner waiting for an opportunity to see completion.  This and many other projects are finally moving forward.  I’ll post updates as I am able.

 

 

Hand Sanitizer:  The Modern Shooter

 

With the big Swine Nothing Hoop-la now in full swing, many schools and businesses are now turning to commercially available Hand Sanitizer as an effective means of preventing the infection and spread of the N1H1 Flu Virus.  Some of these hand sanitizers are marketed with as much as 90% alcohol content.

 

Since the fear frenzy around the N1H1 Pan-nothing, sales of hand sanitizer has sky rocketed.  Since then there have been countless stories of young children ingesting these sanitizers resulting in some of them suffering alcohol poisoning.

 

Children as young as three and four years old, simply being children, have become extremely sick after using these products and then putting their fingers in their mouths.  Other children as young as eight and nine years old have begun ingesting hand sanitizer for a quick “High” referring to these sanitizers as “Booze Ooze”.

 

Teenagers are having the time of their lives with this freely available alcohol and many are ending up in the emergency room as a result.

 

 

Big Brother Lears its Ugly Head

 

Today in a discussion with an IT specialist for my ISP, the IT Tech admitted that my current ISP remotely monitors all communications and transactions on its network.  I can only assume this monitoring is to police for wrong doing, but to do so without informing those using its service is spying in the highest degree and a severe violation of Canadian privacy laws.

 

Now to find out that Big Brother monitors my websites and communications is no surprise as IP’s from various government departments visit this website on a regular basis and have for years.  So to now have my ISP admit to monitoring me (likely at the Governments request) is of little consequence, and to be honest, its rather entertaining as I got used to Big Brother sniffing around a long time ago.  The issue here is my ISP actively monitoring all activity on its networks without the knowledge or consent of the people who buy the service believing that their privacy will remain intact.

 

Various loop-hole laws have been passed in recent years that have effectively eroded the privacy rights of Canadians and to hear an ISP admit that they are blatantly spying on its subscribers only drives home and clearly proves what I have been saying for years, that Canada is and has been for quite some time, a Fascist Police State where Big Brother watches everything and Privacy is nothing more then an illusion.

Greetings My Dear Readers,

 

Today I come to you from my Wintery Waste Land here in the Land of Not.

 

My Memories from over a Decade Ago when I used to live in this hostile environment had me expecting snow banks by Halloween.  Here we are now the end of November and we have very little snow.  Some call it Global Warming, others are simply calling it a late winter, but what ever it is, this is certainly not theLand of the Frozen Chosen that I once knew.  There is a little snow here now, but nothing compared to what I expected.  I’m not complaining

 

 

Yet Another Night of Conflict

 

I was headed into work this evening to get caught up on some paperwork that is for some reason always left for me even when there are people there who are more then capable of completing it.  As usual I was minding my own business and taking my time getting there, as I’m often forced to do this on my own time as the demands of this location leave me little to no time to get it done on actual company time.  About two blocks from my place of employment I was violently confronted by a drunken individual several times my size.  Yet another Violent confrontation in this absolute Hell Hole I now call home.  The best I can hope for is either the Swine Nothing to suddenly run rampant and clean out the local Gene Pool, or maybe my War Mongering southern neighbors will mistake the decommissioned Military base a few hours away as a Target and turn this entire area into a Glass Parking Lot.

 

 

Confusion

 

This pathetic Land of so very Little often leaves me scratching my head.  The majority of the homes here are in disrepair and are poorly looked after, but almost everyone here drives brand new vehicles.  They don’t have the time or money to look after their homes but they have the money to purchase and maintain nice cars????  In Canada this makes no sense. 

 

In the U.S. a nice property that is well cared for is taxed considerably more then one that is not, but here in Canada your property tax is the same whether or not the property is cared for.

 

The thought processes of this backward population, made up of bottom of the barrel garbage of this nation, are well beyond my understanding.

 

 

Additions Update

 

As many of you know The Cold Hearted Bastard Family has welcomed two new additions in recent months. 

 

As mentioned in a recent post our second addition brought with them a vast array of issues and challenges.  Although we have successfully dealt with and overcome most of these challenges, the finally battle is sadly one the CHB Family cannot win.  As a result our newest addition will be parting ways with us in the next few weeks to hopefully move on to a new environment where this final critical challenge can be more appropriately and successfully dealt with.

Greetings My Dear Readers,

 

I come to you again from the Land of Not.  Life here in my pathetic barren land of so very little has been rather uneventful since my last post.  Although I welcome the quiet life that I have worked so hard to finally achieve, I find it unsettling as it feels more like the quiet before storm.  Face it folks, my track record speaks for itself…  so I doubt the quiet silence will last…

 

 

Economy Woes Persist

 

 

Our Economic Experts continue to assure us that the recession is over, yet the stock markets continue to tumble, the Job Markets are nothing short of pathetic and although our leaders boast big job creation rates what they don’t tell you is that the majority of these jobs are low paying casual or part time jobs that no one can ever hope to survive on.

 

A report released yesterday, Nov. 20 2009, says that Canadian Bankruptcy Rates have jumped 43% over the same time last year.  Along with these Bankruptcies, mortgage default rates continue to climb as hard working Canadian’s continue to lose their jobs as companies down size and/or lower wages just to survive, or go under all together.

 

Many Canadian’s who lost their jobs in the opening days of this Economic Collapse are now facing the loss of unemployment benefits as their U.I. begins to runs out, forcing them to fall even further down as the job markets remain bleak and they are left with little choice but to turn to the Welfare system now just to survive.

 

Unless things begin to turn around Canadians are going to have to stop listening to the lies of our leaders and get creative to survive in these hard economic times. 

 

 

Ontario School Bans Homework

 

 

One story that caught my eye this week was one out of Barrie, Ontario.  There a school took an unusual step and Banned teachers from assigning Homework.  Their studies say that this move has actually improved students marks.

 

Although I can see that this move would free up more time for students to pursue other interests and allow them more time to take part in extra curricular activities, thus cutting down on the stress and reducing possible burn out of students, there are many students that need the extra workload in order to grasp concepts that they may struggle with in the classroom.

 

A world without homework, is a happy place for students, but I worry that such a move would diminish the already weakened work ethic and personal discipline that we see all to often already in the young people of today and force our students to continue to fall even further behind their European and Asian counterparts, thus seriously reducing their chances of a successful future.

 

But destroying our future seems to be the ultimate goal of the short sighted, incompetent Morons that seem to lead the way these days.

Greetings my Dear Readers,

 

I return to you yet again, from my crime ridden wasteland here in this pathetic Land of so very Little.  Although this Land of Not, otherwise known as: Hell leaves much to be desired, the last week has not been too bad and has been relatively uneventful.  I’m kind of hoping it stays that way, but given my track record, its not likely

Swine Nothing

 

In the last few weeks many people have asked me if I plan on getting the Swine Flu Vaccine.  My answer is: Absolutely Not!

 

Locally, the Swine Flu Vaccine was recently rolled out and the local population or sheep as I consider them, stood in line for hours to get this vaccine.  The demand was so high that health officials ran out of the Vaccine and had to turn away people who were still waiting for their shot.

 

Of those that I know locally that have got the Swine Flu Vaccine so far everyone seems fine.

 

As of Friday, (Oct. 30 2009) 95 Canadians have died of the swine flu virus, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada. Eighty per cent of these flu-related deaths involved patients with underlying medical conditions.

 

Recent statistics say that almost 5000 people in North America have died of the Swine Flu in 2009, where as 36 000 people have died of the normal seasonal Flu in this same time period, but the big push and all the Media attention continues to go into the fear mongering around the Swine Nothing.  Locally, an eight year old boy recently came down with the Swine Flu.  The Medical Doctor who saw the child actually gave the parents heck for wasting his time by bringing the child in, (which makes me question the kind of doctor he is, as any doctor should never turn away or consider any patient a waste of time, no matter what the issue), then the child was fine a week later with no real treatment or vaccine.  Once again the Swine Flu proves itself to be as I say:  The Swine Nothing.

 

The basic idea behind this Lab Created and intentionally released Swine Flu Virus is to cause a media driven fear frenzy to keep the population in a constant state of fear.  A scared population is easier to control and manipulate then clear thinking people.  Don’t believe me?  Read the actual insert that comes with the Swine Flu Vaccine.  The Vaccine according to Documentation was developed in 2007, but there were no known cases of Swine Flu until 2009, so how is it possible that a Vaccine can be developed for a virus that wasn’t even known to exist until two years later, unless it was intentionally developed in a Government Laboratory and purposely released.

 

The whole idea of this Swine Flu scare is simple population control, a scared population is easily controlled and manipulated.  The real question is why?  What is really in this Vaccine that they are pushing everyone so hard to get?  It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the next few years to Fertility Rates, Autism Rates, Cancer and other death rates involving people who have gotten this Vaccine.

 

As I stated earlier, I will not get this vaccine.  Many say this choice may well cost me my life.  Well, I would rather make my own decisions based on real information rather then being driven into submission by Media driven Fear Mongering. 

 

Whose right?  I guess we’ll see who is still standing when the dust settles.

 

 

Second Addition

 

 

The previously mentioned second addition to the Cold Hearted Bastard family has joined us a little earlier then expected.  This addition has brought with them a series of challenges.  We are attempting to resolve these unexpected and on going issues and challenges, but this will be no easy task.  For now, the Cold Hearted Bastard family is happy to welcome its newest addition.  Whether this Newest Addition is able to remain to a permanent Member of the CHB Family or is just a temporary guest remains to be seen.  I’ll keep you posted.

On November 11^th we once again took a few moments to pay our respects to and honour those brave Men and Women of our Armed Forces who sacrifice of themselves everyday for this great nation both Nationally and Abroad.

 

We must NEVER forget those who have given their lives for the freedoms we enjoy and sadly all too often take for granted in our everyday lives.  Our Freedoms came on the blood, tears and lives of those brave souls who have fought for and continue to fight for the honour of our nation.

Greetings My Dear Readers,

 

It seems rather appropriate that I come to you today on Hallow’s Eve.  The one night of the year where the gates of Hell stand open allowing all manner of demons and devils from deepest and darkest depths of Hell itself to cross into our world roam free for one night.  The one night of the year where your nightmares are truly real.

 

As you can see I am still alive to celebrate this glorious Hallow’s Eve, the one Pagan ritual that I would like to see made a National Holiday. I know for many that my continued existence causes much disappointment, but all I can say is, oh well.  As hard as some try to shake me loose from this mortal coil, I am still here...  Better luck next time

 

It’s been a Month since my last post and needless to say its been a Roller Coaster of activity here in the Land of Not

 

Your Cold Hearted Bastard is now on the mend nursing injuries from a mishap that took my base out from under me two weeks or so ago but has it slowed me down?  Not overly. 

 

Aside from injury, I am truly in Hell here in this Land of so very, very Little.  The last month has seen me immersed into a world of Blood and Violence.  Since my last post I have been assaulted twice and put three men in prison all in separate incidents.  This Land of Not is truly a crime ridden wasteland populated by the garbage of humanity.  The best I can hope for here is for the Swine Nothing to prove me wrong and run rampant and seriously bleach the local gene pool.

 

After 15 years of complete and total security, your Cold Hearted Bastard is now seriously and activity looking at abandoning his vocation and moving on into new and unknown territory.  I have finally had enough of the human garbage that makes up our society, its time to leave the darkness behind and attempt to claw my way into the light.  This may well mean losing all that I own in this world, but such may well have to be the price of survival in this pathetic Land of so very Little.

 

 

New Addition

 

Despite adversity your Cold Hearted Bastard recently welcomed a new addition to the CHB family, with a second addition scheduled to join us in the next three weeks or so. Neither is the addition that many out there have been expecting, but not to worry, that addition will come with time   In the mean time however you will be happy to know that neither of these new additions are nearly as Cold Hearted as yours truly.   The world has agreed that one Miserable Bastard is enough...     (Miserable Bastard?  My next domain perhaps??? Now there's an idea... )

 

 

Heart Breaking Trend

 

The last month has seen a string of news reports of parents killing their children.  Now I understand the media and their need to sensationalize all the horrors of this world.  Their basic premise is:  If it Bleeds it Leads.  Then they sensationalize it daily and continuously until there is nothing left to report.

 

But the sad part is I’ve lost track of the number of stories I’ve seen in the last month where parents have just snapped and killed all their children.  What the hell is wrong with these people?  I’ve always said that if the adults of this world want to kill each other, then have at it.   When these freaks remove each other from the gene pool it makes the world just that much better.  But, leave the children out of it.  Can’t handle being a parent?  Don’t want them? Have other priorities?  Then simply give them up to people who will love and care for them.  Children certainly don’t ask to come into this world, we as adults choose to bring them into existence either through planned choice or irresponsible action, but regardless of how the child gets here, once they arrive they become our future and need to be cherished, loved and given every opportunity possible.

 

We all know people who would make great parents and would love to have children, but for a variety of reasons either do not or cannot have children of their own.  Ask these people if Parenthood is a burden.  They’ll tell you that children are a gift that they would love to have, yet so many take their children for granted.  Daily children are killed, abused, and exploited by parents who are suppose to care for them. 

 

These parents, the ones who take for granted the greatest gift they could ever be given are the ones that I will never understand and always despise.

 

 

Obama Wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize

 

 

On a more positive note, U.S. President Barack Obama was recently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".

 

I have to admit that even I had to scratch my head when Obama was first awarded this prestegious prize.  He hasn’t been President that long and to be honest I’m not sure what he has done to deserve such an award, as the U.S. under his command is still involved in two illegal wars.

 

After a little thought it became clear.  Obama was given this award for his ability to electrify crowds worldwide with his dynamic speeches about Peace and his clear efforts to heal the wounds that the U.S. has caused peoples of this planet.

 

Obama has been herald the Great Hope, the man who has the potential to reverse the damage that the Bush Crime Family has caused over the previous eight years.  He was given this award for the potential he has to improve the planet, not for anything he has already done.  I only hope he can live up the expectation.  Even if he can only accomplish a small percentage of his potential, I believe he will do great things for this planet and his nation.

 

All things considered, I think he was good choice, he represents incredible promise and potential and is, at least on the surface, a great role model for children worldwide.

 

 

There May Be Hope Yet

 

The other day I was headed home from work and being a rather pleasant day I opted to walk.  My trip home took me through a school zone where two young children were working as student crossing guards.  Seeing these two young children bravely put themselves at risk by putting their  own bodies between on coming vehicles and other children in an attempt to keep their younger school mates safe, I was quite impressed. 

 

Now I know these children likely do this as part of some school program that rewards them in some way, but seeing these children work hard to keep others safe, I was struck by a sense of hope.

 

Seeing these children risk themselves for others, shows me that although this world is seemingly in a downward spirel of debauchery and destruction that there yet still be hope.  Many of the youth today are lazy, worthless drains on the system with few morals, but fortunately among them are a few bright and good kids that care enough and have the potential to save us all and bring this world back from the brink.

 

These few good kids are our future and our only hope for a better tomorrow.

Greetings My Dear Readers,

 

I come to once again from a mild weathered world of insanity in the Land of Not.

 

It hasn’t been a bad week since my last post.  Things are starting to settle down here in my land of madness, and settling into a sick routine.  How long will your Cold Hearted Bastard last in this land of so little?  Time shall tell.

 

 

Father/Daughter Loss

 

In the last week the bodies of a Quebec father and his six year old daughter were discovered in a hotel room just outside of Montreal, although officials are being tight lipped, gut instinct tells me this is a case of Custody driven Murder/Suicide.  The father and his daughter live in different cities and rumour is, he was forbidden to have contact with his daughter.  Considering the case, I see this as just vicious rumour driven by the media to continue the vilification of men in our society.  As no reports of this child’s abduction have surfaced clearly he had full visitation rights and access to his daughter.

 

I see this as another case where the courts have actively worked to over empower women in custody cases and clearly denying men who genuinely love and care for their children, the opportunity at custody and/or full access to their children often based on little more then the couples anger with each other and pain over whatever events that caused the marriage/relationship to break down.

 

I see this as a case of a man who loved his daughter so much that he could not bare the idea of living without her and misguidedly believed that if they couldn’t be together in life then in death they could be together forever.

 

Do I agree with what this man did?  Definitely not.  But I certainly understand the factors and emotions that could drive a man to this line of thinking and action.

 

Without knowing any of the sordid details of this case I can say with absolute certainty that this man and his daughter did not have to die.  If the courts were a little more open minded and treated men and women equally without favourism to any particular gender, always making sure that the health and welfare of the children came first then sad cases like this would not likely occur.

 

 

Polish Progress

 

This week a lower level of the Polish Government pass a bill that would require anyone convicted of sexual relations with children under the age of 15, and anyone convicted of having sexual relations with a close family member to be chemically castrated.

 

This bill still needs to be approved and passed into Law by the Polish Leader, but he is expected to approve the bill later this week.

 

This new law comes on the heels of a string on cases of Polish fathers being convicted of sexually abusing their young daughters.

 

Although I applaud Poland for this big step forward in protecting its Nations children, my only concern here is that Chemical castration as outlined in this law, requires the “convicted” to take medications to ensure the castration.  So it maybe hard to enforce, and if the Castration is medication based, does this mean that once the pervert has served his sentence that he can stop taking the medication and is suddenly ready to re-offend?

 

I think Poland could give this law some serious teeth and send a clear message to the world that children’s safety comes first in Poland if they changed the law to ensure that Physical Castration by Medical Professionals occurred as soon as anyone was convicted of sexual relations with anyone under the age of consent.

 

I applaud Poland, although there is room for improvement, this law is a big step forward and hopefully will set the example that other nations will follow.

Greetings My Dear Readers,

 

I come to you today from a Bright and Sunny Land of Not.  Although this land of so little is known far and wide for its frigid winters and foul weather on the rare occasion we are graced with a nice day that the locals drink up while complaining the whole time.

 

Although the world around me is one of insanity, poverty, and utter lunacy, larger matters beyond my backyard always get my attention.

 

Sadly, although our economic leaders assure us that the recession is over and the country is on the rebound, according to recent studies 50% of Canadian’s are now living Paycheck to Paycheck with little to no ability to build a savings.  While companies continue to downsize and close at record rates, putting more and more Canadian’s out of work.  As a result of this, bankruptcies are reaching record numbers and more and more families are losing their homes and many of them despite our various social safety nets, are ending up on the streets.

 

Yes folks, this is the state of our nation, yet they tell us the Recession is over…

 

 

Our American Neighbors

 

I listen to a lot of American Talk Radio and the amount of hatred that gets spewed daily across the airwaves is absolutely sickening.

 

The right wing hatred of President Obama is beyond my understanding.   As an outsider’s perspective, I see President Obama as one of the best things to ever happen to my southern neighbors.  This man’s election has eliminated the race card in the United States, he is a charismatic leader and speaker who is working hard to bring single payer health care to the United States, and has taken an active interest in improving the health, welfare and education of America’s children.

 

President Obama from my outsiders’ perspective is the John F. Kennedy of our time, a man who can, if given the chance, improve America’s standing in the world and heal many of the wounds of old that has made the U.S. one of the most hated countries on the planet.

 

Yet, the American Air waves are flooded with so much hate for this man who has so much potential for helping their nation.  Most of which I believe is race related, although America has moved forward and made a historic step in the right direction by putting a black man in the White House, the old racist boys club that has run the country for so long just can’t handle the idea that a black man is now leading their country. 

 

President Obama has been working hard and fighting an up hill battle to bring single payer health care to all American’s.  This is the same government funded and run health care system that Canada, France, England, Cuba, and countless other countries use to ensure that every citizen of their country gets full health care regardless of their income.

 

This is a wonderful step for America, it will ensure that the hundreds of Millions of American’s who currently cannot afford proper medical care will finally get the medical care that they need to thrive and succeed.

 

May he succeed, despite his detractors.  The American people need and deserve quality health care for all.

 

Obama recently addressed his nation’s children, and encouraged them to work hard in school so they can fulfill their dreams, something I have never seen any other world leader do.

Greetings My Dear Readers,

 

It’s been a week or so since my last post.  This week has been turbulent as the adjustment to this new Land of Not continues.

 

This new land leaves much to be desired as closed minds, self centeredness, and general lack of respect are the dominate themes in this place of little.

 

This has been a return to a small minded, uneducated culture of old.  Although I understand it and have lived among it in the past I was glad to leave it behind more then a decade ago and hoped never to return to it.

 

Now that I find myself immersed back in it, for better or worse, I find myself struggling against old stereo types and views that I have worked hard to leave behind, but the small minded, obnoxious masses I deal with daily make it hard to keep these views of old at bay.  

 

Not that it is all bad, there are some good people and wonderful angels that brighten my world daily, but this land still leaves much to be desired.  The children are lawless and run rampant, where the idea of theft and violence are everyday behaviors, and the parents in the majority of these cases, are no better often teaching and encouraging this behavior in their children.

 

Another sad and unfortunate aspect of this new location is the lack of childhood.  Many young teens that I’ve encountered, many as young as 15 and 16 years old are pushing a stroller with a young baby and are clearly pregnant with a second child on the way.  Although teen pregnancy rates are high across the country, here it seems exceptionally high.  Babies having babies.

Greetings my Dear Readers,

I come to you once again, at long last from the Land of Not.  A cold and frigid world of Ice and Snow where only the hardy survive.   A land where these hardy souls only survive by ensuring that ice water and only ice water, flows through their veins.

The sunny near tropical paradise I once called home is a quickly fading memory as I immerse myself in a land of little.

The last couple weeks have been pricey weeks full of complication as I struggle to get settled and get a foothold in this new world.  But these same weeks have also seen me thrust into a world of mindless evil that I had hoped to be well done with. But alas, a quiet, peaceful and sane world is not my destiny…

Mindless Evil

First off, not far from my new location a little girl barely two years old was abducted from her bed and taken outside and beaten half to death and left in a bloody heap thanks to a witness who rushed to aid the child, otherwise her abductor would have likely killed her.  Her would be abductor is now in police custody facing kidnapping and attempted murder charges.

Second, a long respected Pediatrician, again not far from my new location, was recently caught with thousands of images of hard core child porn and was sentenced to a mere 45 days in prison which he is serving on weekends,a mere slap on the wrist for one of the most vile violations of the law possible.  If a pediatrician gets busted for possession of this type of material what was he doing with the countless pediatric patients entrusted to his care of the years?  The mere thought is sheer terror for any parent who has ever had to take their child a hospital.

This is my new world.  Clearly the more things change, the more they stay the same.  I am as always, in a sick world of insanity…

Canada Screws Its Taxpayers... As Usual

 

Now now to some headlines that have caught my attention in the last week or so:

 

I know many Canadians who make extra money by selling old belongings or general junk on E-Bay, although I’ve never sold anything on E-Bay, when news of Revenue Canada actively moving against E-Bay sellers, it got my attention:

 

EBay sellers warned to pay taxes

CBC News 

Money earned online with auction sites such as eBay is taxable just like regular income, Canada's minister of national revenue said Thursday.

"Taxpayers should know that the tax laws that apply to traditional commerce apply in the same way to electronic commerce, like eBay selling,"Jean-Pierre Blackburn said Thursday.

"I strongly encourage eBay sellers, and for that matter, any taxpayer who has not already done so, to correct their tax affairs as soon as possible to avoid penalties or prosecution."

In 2007, a Federal Court of Canada decision required eBay Canada to provide tax officials with the full account information on their sellers, including their names, user IDs, mailing addresses, billing addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.

The Court of Appeal upheld that decision in April 2008 and as a result,in November eBay Canada began providing the Canada Revenue Agency with the names of eBay sellers who earned more than $1,000 a month for three straight months, as well as their contact information and sales records.

The tax agency can use the information to determine if eBay sellers properly reported the income they earned from sales. If the body determines that an individual or a business did not comply with the tax laws, it will take any necessary action, it warned.

In addition to paying any outstanding taxes, plus interest, consequences may include penalties, as well as legal actions that could result in fines and other imposed sanctions, the agency said in a release.

No penalty for voluntary disclosure

"To avoid paying these fines and penalties, taxpayers who have failed to file income tax returns for past years or who have not reported all their income can voluntarily correct their tax situation," Blackburn said.

Under the voluntary disclosures program, taxpayers who take the initiative to correct or disclose any information will not be penalized or prosecuted if they make a full disclosure before the CRA starts any audit or other compliance action.

The agency expects that the audits, based on the information received from eBay, will begin at the end of this summer.

They will then begin contacting eBay sellers to ensure they have filed all required returns and accurately represented the full scope of their business income.

 

 

 

Typical Canadian Government, determined to screw over the Canadian Tax Payer and take every dime they can away from us.  This is the only country in the world where the government actively works to penalize those who do well for themselves and crush any attempt for entrepenres to ever succeed.

 

But in Canada getting screwed by the Government isa fact of life.  We just learn to bendover a little more all the time.

In listening to an outspoken American Talk host that shares many of the same views as I do here north of the border, I was alerted to the article below.

 

Although am not American, because we are flooded daily by American politics by TV and Radio I can’t help but find American Politics entertaining, as such I couldn’thelp but appreciate the following:

 

 

 

What has GOP done for workers?

 

This article was written by Clint C. Gold and originally appeared in the Tulsa World 10/24/99 .  I am republishing this here because it underscores  what I had always thought about the difference between democrats and republicans.

 

Not too long ago, my wife and I attended a TV football party in south Tulsa.With a lopsided score, the conversation turned to a livelier subject —politics. The crowd was, of course, top-heavy with Republicans. With each point expressed their faces became more flushed, eyes bulging a little more and veins popping in their foreheads as they railed against the liberal programs.

Finally a lone, liberal voice asked: “Will you people name me one bill your party ever passed to help the working man of this country?” The question created much din and clamor, and someone sputtered, “Well, what have the Democrats done?”

The liberal responded with a few programs and was interrupted by howling and disdain. He noted that he had not promised they would like the programs and he  asked to complete his statement — a difficult task to ask of Republicans.

He spoke of Social Security; Medicare-Medicaid; Peace Corps; unemployment insurance; welfare (for the poor and corporate); civil rights; student grant and loan programs; safety laws (OSHA); environmental laws; prevailing wage laws; right to collective bargaining (which brought about paid medical insurance, paid vacations, pensions, etc.); workers’ compensation; Marshall Plan; flood-disaster insurance; School Lunch Program; women’s rights.

He spoke of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which established a minimum wage,instituted child labor laws, and set up time-and-a-half pay for over a 40-hour week.

He mentioned FHA-HUD with its public housing, urban renewal and 44 million residential homes (before WWII almost 70 percent of our nation were renters; by the 1970s this had been reversed).

And farm-conservation subsidies — USDA programs, Farmers Home Administration(the bankers didn’t want to make rural loans), small flood-control lakes (more than 3,000 in Oklahoma alone),rural water districts, rural electricity (REA).

The GI Bill was passed, which the Republicans at the time bitterly opposed.They were salivating over millions of returning veterans to hire as cheap labor. More than 8 million have used college benefits, creating millions of entrepreneurs; most of us had never dreamed of college. For the unemployed GI,there was $20 a week for 52 weeks to help get started (a lot of money in those days). The Veterans Administration provided more than 2 million home loans.

For the bankers at the football party, it was pointed out that the liberals saved their industry with the creation of FDIC and FSLIC, insuring their deposits, and saved Wall Street with the establishment of the Securities Exchange Commission.

The oil men came on bended knees to FDR at a time when East Texas oil was 4 cents a barrel and begged him to save their industry. He did; prorationing overturned the rule of capture and the days of flush productionwere over. Prorating has served this great industry (and nation) well.

And the list went on and on, but of course this group didn’t let him get halfway through. He noted they were weary, inattentive, so again he challenged them to offer up any Republican legislation examples.

“I’m sure your party has authored one or two comparable bills from time to time, but I can’t think of any, and apparently you can’t either. What it boils down to is this: the liberals dragged you into the 20th century scratching and screaming with your heels in the mud, fighting anything that’s progressive,everything that’s made this country great. You Republicans have never understood that the spending power of blue-collar workers, obtained through Democrats and unions, is what really made this country great. You really believe “The Good Life” was obtained from your own endeavors. You cloak your greed in religion and patriotism, railing against any form of tax, never comprehending that these programs have benefited all of us and our country.”

Well, I almost didn’t make it out of the house. My wife and I didn’t even get to see the end of the football game… pity.

Greetings my Dear Readers,

The last few days since my last post have been a roller coaster of activity often leaving me mentally and emotionally exhausted.  So without further delay let's jump right in...


Heartbreak and Anger


Every time I wander out these days I am amazed by the number of people that crowd our malls and local streets with small children in tow and yet are completely oblivious to their children's presence.  Parents who parade around often with 3 or 4 children in tow yet storm ahead and pay zero attention to their children who struggle against the crowds in an attempt to keep up with parents who barely know they exist.

This all too common scenario that I witness daily, and more so in the summer, used to make me angry, now it just depresses me.  Small children who want nothing more then to be loved and cared for are herded around and ignored, treated more like a burden then a gift.  These parents pump out children like its nothing then seem to care so little for them.  Its heart breaking to witness.  These children are little more then a meal ticket for the majority of these so called parents.  These are people who need to be taken into a private room and beaten severely in the hope that they might then feel some of the anger, frustration and hurt that they are putting their children through by not acknowledging them for the previous gift that they are.

The longer I live on this planet and the more I see how children are taken for granted, hurt, abused, exploited and just simply unwanted by so many, the more I lean in favour of forced sterilization.  So many people are in such a rush and so wrapped up in their pathetic lives that they fail to see the effect they are having on their children and the long term damage they are doing to them by writing them off as burdens rather then loving and cherishing them for then precious gift that they are.

Some call this North American Society, I call it De-Evolution of Mankind.


Plan "B"


Everything is all but set in stone now.  Weeks of packing have finally come to an end, moving companies are booked, accommodations are arranged, and all seems finally ready.   The stress of preparation is all but done.  Now the next 72 hours will see everything put in motion with completion by the end of the week.  Its been emotionally draining with more to do then there are hours in a day.  Its my friends, the few who have proven themselves to be true, repeatedly over the years, that have made this all manageable and kept me sane.  

With everything set to go into motion shortly, this will likely be my last post until the relocation is complete and I am able to get re-setup in the Land of Not.  Although I have mixed views on this entire re-location, it is over all a step up in the general food chain of life, and will allow me to put in motion other long term plans that have been sitting and waiting for an opportunity to see fruition.  

Not to worry my dear readers, if all goes well I should be back up and running and free to return to my ranting and raving before months end.
