I hope you all had a great time celebrating Canada's recent 142nd Birthday.

So let's get started...


The Bomb Has Fallen


Its been one of the most brutal weeks I've had in years.  In the last couple days a Bomb of Devastation has fallen and leveled the world around me.  This is something I have been expecting for the last few months, but although I anticipated it months ago I was poorly prepared for it.  Its final arrival has left me reeling, proving that I wasn't even remotely ready for it.   

The problem is simple. I made a critical error, I got comfortable and let my guard down.  Comfort leads to inaction, inaction leaves you ill prepared for even the most anticipated difficulty.  Those who know me will tell you that this is totally and completely out of character for me as I am usually well prepared for even the most remote difficulty.  Years ago, this wouldn't have phased me, but these days its a hard pill to swallow and a painful lesson.  I guess I had to learn the hard way to never get too comfortable.

To be honest, I'm not sure how this one will play out or where or even how I'll end up before this is over.  As uncertain and rocky as everything is at the moment, one thing is absolutely certain, this won't be a dull or boring ride.


Another Sicko and a Bizarre Parent


A story that caught my attention last week still has me baffled.

In a community not far from me a six year old little girl was sexually assaulted at knife point by a lone male.  The little girl was in a wooded area near her home with her older brother and one of his friends when they were approached by a male adult.  The Adult then pulled a knife on them and informed the boys they were to wait at a near by location, then took the little girl further into the woods and proceeded to assault her.  When this sicko was finished with her he took off leaving the little girl to find her brother.

The children then returned home and for some unknown reason waited almost 24 hours after the assault to tell their parents.  Perhaps as a result of a threat from the sick pervert who assaulted this little girl, perhaps out of fear of punishment, or some other reason known only to the children.  But here the story takes an even more bizarre turn.

The little girl's father, never went to the police.  After his daughter told him what happened, rather then go to the authorities he started a poster campaign warning the neighborhood of a sicko in the area with the description he got from his children.  It was from these posters that the authorities learned of the assault and started their own investigation.

The sordid details of what this sick bastard did to this poor little girl is enough to make anyone ill. Yet her father, the one man that should be willing to give his very life to protect his daughter fails to go the police when she comes to him and tells him in detail what this sicko did to her.

This sick S.O.B. who rapes small children at knife point remains at large.  No Parent will rest easy until this sick waste of humanity is brought to Justice.

And people wonder why I'm in favour of legal executions...


Canada:  The Big Brother Police State


In a recently Publicized Event it has now become public knowledge that Police agencies regularly use a little known clause in Canada's Criminal Code (Section 184.4) that allows Police agencies to wiretap your phone without having to get approval from any court.

Normally, before any Police agency can legally tap your phone lines they have to apply to the courts and show just cause before a judge will give them approval to violate your privacy and listen in on your communications. Under this Warrentless Wiretap (Emergency Wiretap) clause Authorities are not required to keep any records or inform anyone of the wiretaps.  

Although there are no requirements for Police Agencies to keep any records when they use these Warrentless Wiretaps, a Freedom of Information request sent to various Police agencies has revealed that at least 267 of these wiretaps have been used in recent years.  

I'm sure that the majority of these Secret Wiretaps were used in "Just" circumstances but the potential for abuse here is staggering.  As no records are required to be kept and there are no checks and balances in place to govern the use of these wiretaps the authorities are basically given free reign to ease drop on you and violate your privacy at their discretion.

So Beware Folks, someone could very well be listening to and in all likelihood recording your every word.
